Interfaith Chaplain Intern

McLean Hospital, Belmont Campus

2024-2025

At a leading multi-site psychiatric hospital, I provided trauma-informed, interfaith spiritual care across diverse inpatient units, integrating evidence-based frameworks and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support whole-person mental health treatment. I also contributed specialized insight at the intersection of neurodiversity and spirituality through group facilitation, staff support, virtual chaplaincy, and completion of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).

  • Provided spiritual care to patients and staff on inpatient psychiatric units including: geriatric psych, depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use disorders, psychosis, and mood disorders.

  • Facilitated individual care and group interventions (Sacred Stories bibliotherapy) 

  • Provided virtual chaplain meetings to support multi-site needs. 

  • Integrated trauma-informed, interfaith, and evidence-based approaches (CBT, ACT, attachment theory) into spiritual care practice.
